Davne poslije ratne 1950 god. na inicijativu grupe ljudi sela Stara Plošćica osniva se DVD STARA PLOŠČICA . Među osnivačima spominju se SLAVKO OŠTROVSKI, STJEPAN KUČEK, TROŠČAN STEVO, DOLENAC MATO, PINTARIĆ IVAN, JASENOVIĆ STEVO, SRBIĆ IVAN i mnogi drugi koji su se priključili radu društva. DVD STARA PLOŠČICA osnovano je zbog učestalih požara ali i zbog okupljanja ljudi kako bi se u ono vrijeme van politike družili i pomogli napretku svoga sela. Kao prvo sredstvo obrane od požara nabavljena je ručna štrcaljka. Bio je to velik napredak, jer u to vrijeme prijeći s kante na mlaznicu bila je velika stvar. Društvo od nekoliko članova prerasta u vodeću organizaciju.

Long after the war in 1950. DVD STARA PLOŠČICA was founded on the initiative of a group of people from the village of Stara Ploščica. Among the founders are mentioned SLAVKO OŠTROVSKI, STJEPAN KUČEK, TROŠČAN STEVO, DOLENAC MATO, PINTARIĆ IVAN, JASENOVIĆ STEVO, SRBIĆ IVAN and many others who joined the work of the company. DVD STARA PLOŠČICA was founded because of frequent fires, but also because of the gathering of people in order to socialize outside of politics at that time and help the progress of their village. A manual syringe was purchased as the first means of fire protection. It was a big improvement, because at the time going from a bucket to a nozzle was a big deal. A company from a few members grows into a leading organization. In 1956, the first public exercise was held. In the 1960s, the society owned its own home, the so-called patrol house. A Savica generator was purchased and the company is working at full steam. In 1976, on the initiative of the board of directors, the procurement of a tractor-powered fire fighting tank was started. The tank was purchased with voluntary contributions from the residents of Stara Ploščica and the Čazm Fire Brigade. In 1980, DVD Stara Ploščica celebrates its 30th anniversary and the fire department storehouse for the acquired tank is built. In the 1980s, the society was responsible for all activities in the village, and helped build the local home. In 1991, the Homeland War began, where many members participated in the defense of the homeland, so the society stagnated in its development. In 1994, the company started its activities again. Numerous parties are held at which a good income is generated, so they start shopping for a plot of land to build a fire station. 2001 marked the 50th anniversary of existence and a new fire station is opened. In 2010, DVD celebrates its 60th anniversary. existence, the society organizes many manifestations through the fire brigade community and on its own initiative: it makes friends with other DVDs and initiates the holding of a large event of "PLATE MACHINING".
