Kolekcionar vatrogasnog znakovlja

CTIF Dvorana Prvog hrvatskog dobrovoljnog vatrogasnog društva u Varaždinu je u subotu 25. ožujka ugostila 15 kolekcionara vatrogasne baštine iz Hrvatske i Slovenije. Kratkim obraćanjem sudionike i posjetitelje Susreta su pozdravili predsjednik VZŽ Varaždinske Nedeljko Vukalović, predsjednik Prvog hrvatskog dobrovoljnog vatrogasnog zbora u Varaždinu Radovan Martinec i voditelj Muzeja hrvatskog vatrogastva Vedran Runjić. Svi sugovornici su izrazili želju da ovaj susret preraste u tradiciju, kako bi kolekcionari koji su zapravo čuvari vatrogasne povijesti mogli predstaviti svoj hobi što većem broju ljudi. Kolekcionari su pokazali zainteresiranima mali dio svojih privatnih kolekcija na temu vatrogastva iz Hrvatske, ali i gotovo cijelog svijeta. Među morem amblema, medalja, kaciga i dokumenata možemo izdvojiti veliku kolekciju modela vatrogasnih vozila Ivana Balata, kolekciju medalja i znački Srečka Sačića iz Varaždinskog kluba kolekcionara te kolekciju numizmatike na temu vatrogastva koju je izložio Stjepan Kovaček. Muzej hrvatskog vatrogastva je izložio kolekciju fotografija stare vatrogasne opreme. Kroz prikupljanje kotizacije u vidu jednog amblema za izlagački stol te kroz razmjenu, Muzej je bogatiji za nekoliko monografija i 40 amblema vatrogasnih organizacija. Posjetitelji su također mogli razgledati stalni postav Muzeja i izložbu “Iza vatrenog zida – Žene u vatrogastvu”. Nakon susreta uslijedilo je druženje na kojem su kolekcionari razgovarali o daljnjim planovima prezentiranja ovog zanimljivog hobija.
On Saturday, March 25th, the CTIF Hall of the First Croatian Volunteer Fire Department in Varaždin hosted 15 collectors of firefighting heritage from Croatia and Slovenia. The participants and visitors were welcomed with short speeches by Nedeljko Vukalović, President of the Varaždin County Firefighters Association; Radovan Martinec, President of the First Croatian Volunteer Fire Department in Varaždin; and Vedran Runjić, Head of the Museum of Croatian Firefighting. All speakers expressed their desire for this meeting to become a tradition, allowing collectors the true guardians of firefighting history—to present their hobby to as many people as possible. The collectors presented a small portion of their private firefighting collections from Croatia and across the globe. Among the vast sea of patches, medals, helmets, and documents, notable highlights included Ivan Balat’s extensive collection of model fire engines, Srečko Sačić’s collection of medals and badges from the Varaždin Collectors' Club, and Stjepan Kovaček’s firefighting-themed numismatic collection. The Museum of Croatian Firefighting exhibited a collection of photographs featuring vintage firefighting equipment. By collecting registration fees in the form of one patch per exhibition table, and through various exchanges, the Museum enriched its holdings with several monographs and 40 fire department patches. Visitors also had the opportunity to tour the Museum's permanent display and the exhibition "Behind the Fire Wall – Women in Firefighting." The meeting concluded with a social gathering where collectors discussed future plans for promoting this fascinating hobby.
