Hrvatsko društvo za očuvanje vatrogasne baštine (u nastavku: Društvo) osnovano je 30. studenoga 2023. godine održavanjem osnivačke sjednice Skupštine na inicijativu nekolicine kolekcionara povijesne baštine vatrogasnih organizacija i suvremenih predmeta vezanih uz provedbu vatrogasne djelatnosti, a s ciljem prikupljanja, istraživanja, obnove i očuvanja spomenute memorabilije. Osnivači Društva nazočni na osnivačkoj sjednici Skupštine Društva bili su, abecednim redom, Saša Benko, Sanjin Blažević, Josip Cingesar, René-Raymond Gulin, Rudolf Juretić, Stjepan Kovaček, Radovan Martinec, Vedran Runjić, Damir Trinajstić, Zvonko Videc, uz nazočnost Nedeljka Vukalovića, predsjednika Vatrogasne zajednica Varaždinske županije. Datum osnutka ujedno je relevantan za utvrđivanje vremenskog okvira aktualnog mandatnog razdoblja dužnosnika Društva. Stoga pojedine dužnosti u mandatnom razdoblju do 30. studenoga 2027. godine obnašaju sljedeći članovi: - predsjednik: Josip Cingesar, - dopredsjednik: Damir Trinajstić, - tajnik: Stjepan Kovaček. Društvo je upisano u Registar dana Republike Hrvatske dana 23. veljače 2024. godine. Bez ikakvih korekcija ovjeren je Statut Društva kao njegov temeljni akt te stvorene pretpostavke za aktivan rad u skladu s ranije usvojenim ciljevima i planovima. Potom su uslijedili upis u Registar stvarnih vlasnika i Registar neprofitnih organizacija te otvaranje bankovnog računa, čime su dovršene sve administrativne aktivnosti nužne za stvarni početak rada Društva, organizaciju određenih aktivnosti i sudjelovanje u organizaciji i provedbi događanja od interesa za vlastito članstvo.
The Croatian Society for the Preservation of Firefighting Heritage (hereinafter: the Society) was founded on November 30, 2023, during its founding Assembly session. The Society was established on the initiative of several collectors of historical firefighting heritage and contemporary firefighting memorabilia, with the goal of collecting, researching, restoring, and preserving such items. The founders present at the founding Assembly session were (in alphabetical order): Saša Benko, Sanjin Blažević, Josip Cingesar, René-Raymond Gulin, Rudolf Juretić, Stjepan Kovaček, Radovan Martinec, Vedran Runjić, Damir Trinajstić, and Zvonko Videc, in the presence of Nedeljko Vukalović, President of the Varaždin County Firefighting Association. The founding date is also relevant for determining the current mandate period of the Society's officials. Accordingly, the following members hold office for the term ending November 30, 2027.

The Society was officially entered into the Register of Associations of the Republic of Croatia on February 23, 2024. The Statute, as the Society’s fundamental act, was certified without any corrections, establishing the prerequisites for active work in line with previously adopted goals and plans. This was followed by registration in the Register of Beneficial Owners and the Register of Non-Profit Organizations, as well as the opening of a bank account. These steps completed all administrative activities necessary for the Society to begin its actual operations, organize specific activities, and participate in events of interest to its membership.
