Kolekcionar vatrogasnog znakovlja

Glavni uzrok stvaranja Društva u ovim selima je odluka Zemaljske vlade o spajanju općina Švarča i Banija sa gradom Karlovcem 1903. godine, čime su se granice grada od Tvrđave grada pomaknule na krug: Hrnetić,  Novaki, Kaštel, Ilovac, Gradac, Mekušje (Otok), Turanj, Švarča i Dubovac. Za jedno društvo Karlovac to je bilo preveliko područje te je na prijedlog DVD-a Karlovac o načinu  protupožarne zaštite 01.kolovoza 1903. godine donesena odluka o osnivanju „Vatrogasnih podružnica Hrnetić i Turanj“. Iako službena godina osnutka piše 1909. godina dolaskom mlađe generacije podružnica Hrnetić-Novaki vodi se  sa datumom 1.kolovoza 1903. godine., kao godina utemeljenja.
