Datum osnivanja: 18. travanj 1875.
Početkom dvadesetog stoljeća Emil Polešinski postaje prvi ispitani vatrogasni oficir, koji kroz predavanja i vježbe pridonosi modernizaciji vatrogasne obuke i osposobljenosti vatrogasne postrojbe.

Foundation date: April 18, 1875 The forerunner of the founding of the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Čakovec was a session of the representative body of the municipality held on November 29, 1864, at which it was decided to procure three fire syringes with equipment, and Ivan Debić, Albert Martinčević and Jakob Mekovec were in charge of maintaining and managing them. We consider the three of them to be the first firefighters of Čakovec. Frequent fires in the following period showed that the equipment and only three people were insufficient, and at a session held on January 6, 1875, a committee of six members was formed with the task of drafting a cost estimate of necessary equipment for the future fire company. cost 2,500 forints. On April 18, 1875, the founding assembly of the Voluntary Fire Brigade was held in Čakovec, which had 51 active and 63 supporting members and had 1,200 forints collected from the citizens. The first president of the society was Đuro Horvat, and the commander was Josip Körngast. The first fire station with storage was given to the fire brigade in 1902, and it also housed the official premises of the association of craftsmen, and a large hall for brass music that operated as part of the society. The home was used until 1947. At a time when the company is celebrating 30 years of operation, they have four hydraulic pumps on syringes with which 1288 liters of water could be delivered at one hundred pressures per minute. In addition, they had 330 meters of fire hoses, assembly ladders and wheeled stretcher ladders that were the most modern. a means of that time. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Emil Polešinski became the first tested fire officer, who through lectures and exercises contributed to the modernization of firefighting training and the training of the fire brigade. The core of the society before the First World War consisted mainly of craftsmen and prominent citizens. In the first years after the war, the company was reunited by Dragutin Rotanić, a longtime commander, as evidenced by the book of minutes of the DVD Čakovec from 1926, when he was proclaimed an honorary member of the society, and he writes about his merits: , with good will again, resurrected the already in poor condition of the fire brigade and raised it to the height at which it stands today.
