Društvo je osnovano 1882. godine. Kroz povijest u društvu su aktivno djelovali vodovi gasilaca te druge različite sekcije, među kojima su tamburaški orkestar, orkestar limene glazbe, a u sklopu društva i danas djeluju sekcije žena vatrogasaca, vatrogasni pomladak te se društvo može pohvaliti da je jedino u županiji koje ima svoj puhački orkestar. U svojoj dugoj povijesti, orahovački vatrogasci uvijek su dobrovoljno i časno u presudnom trenutku, bez obzira na životnu opasnost i posljedice, hitali na mjesto požara ili poplave da bi spašavali ljudske živote i njihovu imovinu.
